What owners say

★4.3(198)

General Honda Odyssey owner feedback — this listing’s exact specs are above.

With an average owner rating of 3.8 out of 5 from 82 reviews, the 2012 Odyssey is generally well-regarded for its reliability and practicality as a family hauler.

The 248-hp V6 engine provides plenty of power for merging and passing, making it one of the more spirited minivans to drive.

As a minivan, it offers excellent interior space and versatile seating, ideal for families needing to haul kids and cargo.

Gasoline fuel type keeps running costs predictable, and the Odyssey's reputation for longevity means many examples can go well over 150,000 miles with proper maintenance.

Brake issues are the most common complaint among owners—when test-driving, listen for squeaking or feel for pulsation during braking, and ask for service records to see if the brakes have been recently serviced; most are resolved with routine pad/rotor replacements.

Electrical system quirks, such as intermittent problems with sliding doors or power windows, have been reported—during your inspection, test all power locks, windows, and doors multiple times to catch any glitches, which are often simple fixes.

Some owners mention interior trim rattles or loose panels—take a thorough test drive over rough pavement to identify any annoying noises, and know that these are usually minor annoyances rather than mechanical issues.
