This Privacy Policy explains how Cars4Sure collects, uses, stores, and shares information. By using the platform, you agree to the terms in this Policy.

Cars4Sure operates an automotive ecosystem that includes a verified marketplace, inspection tools, maintenance features, vendor services, and digital vehicle identity functions.

We respect your privacy and protect your information.

2.Information We Collect

  • Account preferences (authentication is handled securely by our provider)

  • VIN and mileage (if provided)
  • Service history (if provided or synced)

When you sign in using a third-party service (such as Google), we receive:

We use this information solely to create and manage your Cars4Sure account. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other data from these services. We do not share data received from sign-in services with third parties except as necessary to provide our services.

3.How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate the verified marketplace
  • Build and update your vehicle's digital identity
  • Schedule inspections and connect you with mechanics and vendors
  • Send alerts, reminders, and process service requests
  • Improve the platform and enforce rules
  • Prevent fraud and comply with legal requirements

4.SMS and Text Message Communications

If you provide your phone number and consent to receive text messages from Cars4Sure, we may send you SMS messages for the following purposes:

4.1Types of Messages

  • Account Verification: One-time passcodes (OTP) for login and security verification
  • Account Notifications: Password resets, security alerts, account status updates
  • Transaction Alerts: Listing updates, inquiry notifications, appointment reminders
  • Service Updates: Inspection status, maintenance reminders, service confirmations
  • Platform Announcements: Important service changes, policy updates
  • Marketing Messages: Promotional offers, new features, and special deals (only if you opt-in separately)

4.2Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and preferences. Verification codes are sent only when you initiate a login or security action. Other messages depend on your activity on the platform.

4.3Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message (we also honor: stop, end, unsubscribe, cancel, quit)
  • Updating your communication preferences in your account settings

Reply HELP for assistance. Note that opting out of marketing messages will not affect transactional messages related to your account security or active transactions.

4.4Costs and Carriers

Message and data rates may apply.Your carrier's standard messaging rates apply to all SMS messages. Cars4Sure is not responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier.

4.5Third-Party Messaging Provider

We use Twilio and other telecommunications providers to deliver SMS messages. These providers process your phone number solely for message delivery and are bound by their own privacy policies and our data processing agreements.

Your mobile information will never be shared with or sold to third parties for promotional or marketing purposes unrelated to our services.

5.How We Share Information

We share information only when needed to operate the platform.

5.1With Service Providers

We may share data with:

  • Inspectors, dealers, and vendor shops
  • Mechanics, insurance partners, and import-export partners

Data shared is limited to what is needed for the service.

  • Vehicle History Data:Indefinitely (part of vehicle's digital identity)
  • Communication Logs: 3 years from last interaction
  • Inspection Reports: 7 years from inspection date
  • Marketing Preferences: Until withdrawal of consent
  • Analytics Data: 26 months (anonymized after)
  • Security Logs: 1 year

8.2Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your data at any time. We will process your request within 45 days, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes.

9.Your Rights

Cars4Sure respects your privacy rights under applicable law. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Right to Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.

  • Right to Opt Out: Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, submit a request to privacy@cars4sure.com. We will verify your identity and respond within forty-five (45) days. If we need additional time, we will notify you of the extension and the reason within the initial 45-day period. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

10.California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

10.1Categories of Personal Information Collected

We collect identifiers (name, email, phone), commercial information (transaction history, listings viewed), internet activity (browsing history, search queries, interactions with the Platform), and geolocation data (approximate location from IP address).

10.2Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Cars4Sure does not sell your personal information in exchange for monetary consideration. However, certain uses of third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. You have the right to opt out of such sharing.

10.3Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, you may:

Cars4Sure does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted under the CCPA.

10.5Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization and identity verification before processing the request.

10.6Response Timing

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within forty-five (45) days. We may extend this period by an additional forty-five (45) days if reasonably necessary, with notice to you.

11.Florida Privacy Rights (Florida Digital Bill of Rights)

If you are a Florida resident, you may have additional rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR), effective July 1, 2024.

Under the FDBR, Florida consumers have the right to:

  • Confirm whether Cars4Sure is processing their personal data
  • Access their personal data
  • Correct inaccuracies in their personal data
  • Delete personal data provided to or obtained by Cars4Sure
  • Obtain a copy of their personal data in a portable and readily usable format
  • Opt out of the processing of personal data for purposes of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects
Cars4Sure does not process personal data for the purposes of targeted advertising or sell personal data, as those terms are defined under the FDBR. If this changes in the future, Cars4Sure will update this Policy and provide a clear opt-out mechanism before any such processing begins.

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@cars4sure.com. Cars4Sure will respond to your request within forty-five (45) days. You may appeal any denial by contacting legal@cars4sure.com, and Cars4Sure will respond to your appeal within sixty (60) days.

12.Children's Privacy

The platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

13.International Transfers

Some data may be stored or processed in regions outside your location. We use secure transfer methods and trusted cloud providers.

14.Third Party Links

Cars4Sure may link to third party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
