Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR), and similar state laws, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. Those laws define sale and sharing far more broadly than everyday usage.
Where We Stand
Two things we do could be characterized as a "sale," "share," or "targeted advertising" under those definitions: providing your inquiry and contact information to the dealer or seller you chose to contact, in connection with fees dealers pay us; and the use of third-party analytics and advertising tools on the Platform. We treat both under the statutory meaning, which is why this opt-out exists and works. See Privacy Policy §8 for the full picture.
What Opting Out Does — and Doesn't
Opting out stops sharing of your information for analytics and targeted advertising. It does not stop disclosures you direct yourself: if you send a dealer an inquiry after opting out, we still deliver it — contacting a dealer is you asking us to hand them your information. It also doesn't affect disclosures to our service providers or those required by law.
